Danwood

Magnolia CMS as the key to Danwood’s digital communication transformation

Our role:

Magnolia CMS & Content architecture

We have implemented the Magnolia CMS platform for Danwood, which centralises content management and strengthens brand communication in European markets. The solution supports the team in their daily work and paves the way for further digital transformation.

Client

Danwood is a Polish manufacturer of prefabricated houses operating in many European markets. The company is known for its high-quality products and modern approach to single-family housing construction. Its activities focus on providing comprehensive solutions – from design to project implementation.

Challenges:

Danwood previously had a separate website for each market in which it operated. For example, there were as many as six different websites for the Polish market alone. Without a common platform, it was difficult to ensure consistent brand communication, content management and analytics. The company needed to:

  • centralise its websites;
  • consolidate content within a single platform.
  • unify visual and content communication across different markets;
  • improve its search engine optimisation (SEO);
  • ensure a consistent website structure across all markets to enable effective user behaviour tracking and facilitate data analysis for marketing and sales activities.

The key objective was to create a solution that would allow the Danwood team to manage content quickly and flexibly, while maintaining the quality and consistency of communication.

Our approach

As a partner of Magnolia CMS, we designed a solution based on this platform – a flexible and scalable enterprise-class technology that perfectly meets the needs of companies operating in multiple markets.
The project was not a simple 1:1 transfer of existing solutions – our task was to create a new, consistent content architecture and website structure from scratch – one that meets Danwood’s real business and communication needs. We reorganized the content and functionalities, taking into account elements that had previously been overlooked or scattered, such as the blog section and components supporting marketing and SEO activities.

On the left, the layout of the former independent instances divided by language and country; on the right, a unified, centrally managed CMS environment with a uniform structure and consistent information architecture.

As part of our cooperation:

  • We developed an information architecture and content structure that enables centralised website management while maintaining flexibility for individual markets.
  • We implemented Magnolia CMS as the foundation of the solution to ensure flexible content management and multilingual support. This allows you to define not only translations, but also entire page layouts, house styles and functionalities for specific markets independently.
  • We also created an extensive component library to enable the quick building of visually consistent pages in line with the brand’s design system.
  • We also prepared integrations with analytical and marketing tools, including the implementation of Google Tag Manager and the configuration of analytics for key user actions (e.g. tracking form abandonment and providing information on the field at which the user withdrew). We also integrated Hotjar to study user behaviour and enable optimisation.
  • We also linked the forms created in the CRM system to the CMS so that they can be automatically embedded on the website and managed centrally.

The CMS has over 50 modules and sections that can be used to create new pages. Thanks to the Magnolia CMS site builder, Danwood’s marketing team can now build and publish a website in just a few hours, no developers required.

Implementation process

We carried out the project in close cooperation with the Danwood team and other technological partners of the client, including agencies responsible for SEO and CRM. It was crucial for us not only to provide a modern technological solution, but also to ensure smooth coordination and effective communication with all parties involved.

We made sure that the implementation went smoothly – we took care of redirects from old, scattered websites, consistent data tracking and integration with the client’s existing systems. The platform was designed not only to be technologically advanced, but also as a user-friendly tool for editorial teams, enabling them to respond quickly to business needs.

Effects

The project resulted in the creation of a central system for managing all Danwood websites in various European markets. Thanks to Magnolia CMS:

  • content is managed from a single location, which has significantly streamlined editorial processes,
  • the websites have gained visual and communication consistency,
  • SEO activities have become more effective, and content positioning simpler and more efficient,
  • integration with analytical tools has enabled consistent analysis and reporting,
  • sales pages have been centralized – previously created in a scattered manner, they are now managed in a single system with a consistent look, full data tracking, and the ability to link to the CRM structure,
  • Danwood has gained a flexible platform, ready for future expansion and the development of new functionalities.
